I am excited to announce a significant milestone in our company’s journey: ALPIN11 is now Elevantiq. This rebranding marks the beginning of a new chapter as we expand our vision for the future of digital commerce. Along with this transformation, I’m thrilled to introduce two new managing partners joining me—Max Page as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Michael Bromley as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Together, we are set to launch Elevantiq into a new era of growth, innovation, and leadership in enterprise digital commerce.
The Beginning: From Freelancer to Founder
Our story began in 2018, when I started out as a freelancer, providing software engineering services and delivery support for agencies working on projects for renowned companies like RedBull, Swarovski, Württembergische Lebensversicherung and many others. After working at a fast-growing e-commerce startup in Innsbruck, I had the opportunity to learn firsthand about e-commerce operations and B2C e-commerce processes. It was an inspiring environment, where the young but hardworking founders and my talented colleagues shaped much of my approach.
However, I soon felt the pull to tackle the larger challenges that exist in the B2B space, where I saw significant gaps in digitization and automation, particularly in customer-facing processes and poor master data management. My own peers from my educational background in mechatronics, part of a new generation of B2B buyers, were encountering these issues head-on, and it became clear that the B2B landscape was ripe for transformation.
And so, ALPIN11 was born.
The Challenges: Building in Uncharted Territory
Launching a company in Kitzbühel, a region without a comparable business landscape, was an uphill battle. The market was full of web design agencies, but none that aligned with the elevated standards and ambitions we had in mind. Starting from scratch—with no network and no prior experience running an agency—came with countless challenges and valuable lessons.
But one thing that kept us moving forward was the support from my father as a shareholder, without whom this journey would not have been financially possible. I am deeply grateful for his support.
The Expansion: Enter Vendure
As our business grew, we noticed a shift in the market: demand for JavaScript and Node.js-based solutions was rising, and our team unanimously recommended Vendure as the platform of choice for modern e-commerce solutions. This led me to connect with Michael Bromley, the original creator of Vendure. Soon after, we co-founded a new entity, the Vendure GmbH, with ALPIN11 as a minority shareholder, and embarked on a journey to refine our product offering.
The last two years have been full of experimentation and learning, but today we can confidently say that we’ve found the product-market fit we need, and we know exactly who we are serving.
The Future: A New Brand, A New Era
In shaping our future, we made a key decision: to grow independently. We opted against VC funding for Vendure, a decision rooted in preserving our freedom to develop the product and community without external pressures. The potential trade-offs in our values and vision simply weren’t worth it.
This realization led to a major restructuring of our management, shareholder model, and go-to-market strategy, and ultimately the birth of Elevantiq.
Elevantiq is more than just a new name—it represents a complete evolution of how we work and what we stand for. With myself as CEO, Max as COO, and Michael as CTO, we have a leadership team equipped with a diverse skill set and years of experience.
Our mission with Elevantiq is to shape the future of B2B digital customer experiences. We are driven to help businesses grow their in-house capabilities, enabling them to take control of their digital strategies rather than rely solely on external service providers or consultants. Our vision is bold, and our commitment to innovation and partnership is stronger than ever.
We invite you to join us on this exciting journey as Elevantiq takes off.
